The Fleshtones in Pordenone, with The Vindicators opening
Capitol, Pordenone · Saturday 31 October 2026
On Saturday 31 October the Capitol in Pordenone hosts The Fleshtones, the American band celebrating fifty years with a seven-date tour of Italy. The Vindicators, the band from Bassano del Grappa with Carlo Casale and Stefano Dal Col, open the night.
From New York, the Fleshtones are one of the great names of American garage rock, and live they have always been a party: the spirit that inspired the Vindicators themselves.
Who The Vindicators are

The Vindicators formed in Bassano del Grappa in 1986, a year after Frigidaire Tango split, with some of that band's members, as a project “aimed at pure fun” somewhere between rock'n'roll and rockabilly. Their name nods to the Fleshtones, who inspired their show: the Fleshtones' Keith Streng and Bill Milhizer took part in the sessions for their debut album, That's All Rock (1987).
Roots Revolution (1989, C.G.D.) followed and, in 2011, the double CD Greatest Hits, with the best of both albums, four unreleased tracks and a second disc of live recordings. The stage was always their strength: they played from Trento to Naples, opened several Blues Brothers shows and were guests of honour at Arezzo Wave, until they split in 1992 after 102 concerts.
